The Jigglypuff Line (Chinese: 胖丁綫) is a core part of the ShimanoMTR network.

Overview

This line runs through the southern snowfields northwest of Spawn.

To provide through service with the Shimano LRT, Stadtbahn-spec rolling stock is operated, with half SMTR and half SLRT rolling stock. Due to the effective platform length, through service with the former Teufort LRT was not initially considered.

Previously, S43-Tec-manufactured rolling stock was modified to comply with SMTR specifications, but due to changes in specifications, all rolling stock is now LIGHTACE T-model rolling stock.

The standard journey time for the entire line is 37 minutes, making it the longest SMTR route outside of the Delphox Line. Including the through service section, the journey times are 1 hour 25 minutes for the KR01 and 1 hour 19 minutes for the AC01.

History

The line was first mentioned in November 2022 and was originally assigned the line number as Line S0. At that time, it was planned as AGT.

It will be built in September 2023 to a similar standard to Shimano LRT (SLRT) and Teufort LRT, and its number will be changed to Line S13. A few days later, the section between Kurokusa and Kuromurasaki opened, and through service with SLRT's AC01 and KR01 began.

Construction continued intermittently, and the extension to Cinderace Depot Station, now Delphox Town Station, was completed in January 2024. With this, the Jigglypuff Line was fully opened.

In August 2024, due to difficulties in procuring maintenance parts for the S43-Tec vehicles that had previously been used, the trains were replaced with LIGHTACE T models after a few days of suspension.

Operations

All trains operate in 4-car formations. Within the SMTR, all trains will operate throughout all sections. For through service with SLRT, AC01 and KR01 will operate alternately. See here for through service sections.

Depending on the SLRT's operating conditions, there is a possibility that the intervals between trains may be irregular.

A separate shuttle train to the Delphox South Maintenance Depot departs from Sakura Grove Station. Anyone with the fare to Sakura Grove Station or the SMTR minimum round-trip fare can use this service.

Future Plans

  • Along with the Shimahana Line, which uses similar rolling stock, SLRT rolling stock is scheduled to be replaced with STADTACE.
