History
On 14 February 2023, Lilypad Rail proposed the Phase 2 plan of the Chou Wai corridor, together with route 405. This route goes from Bridge Bay stop to Belvedere stop, to provide connections with Oculink Red and Yellow Line, and Sightseeing Express from Chou Wai area.
On 18 February 2023, Phase 2 of Chou Wai corridor and Route 405 was fully operational.
On 18 May 2023, Lilypad Rail proposed to extend route 405 to Jonathan’s Resort from Belvedere via Melody Garden, but there were no more news about the extension up to now. Even in the “Lilac Light Rail Reform Plan 2023”, there were no changes in route 405 except for decreasing the frequency to 5 minutes. However, Qingli Railways and Lilypad Rail are discussing if it is possible to keep the frequency unchanged, since the length of independent sections of route 405 is very long and high frequency will not impact the other routes too much.
