History
On 19 September 2022, Qingli Railways proposed a light rail connection between Kallos and Jonathan’s Resort via a transit hub, Five Points Transit Center (current Oculus Center). The route number was decided to be 882, where the first 8 represents Kallos area, and 82 is the ASCII code of R of Resort.
On 7 November 2022, route 882 was fully operational from Light Rail Depot to Jonathan's Resort. The route stopped at the current Kallos Express platforms at Jonathan's Resort stop at that time.
In mid-November, Qingli Railways realized that it takes a very long time to travel from Kallos to Jonathan's Resort. As a result, Kallos Express was planned to replace route 882 for the connection between Kallos and Jonathan's Resort. However, it ended up that Kallos Express was extended to Jonathan's Resort on 18 December 2022, route 882 was also kept to serve placed between. A temporary stop is built for route 882 to stop until a suitable position is found
On 14 December 2022, Five Points Transit Center has been renamed to Oculus Center due to the change of ownership.
On 1 January 2023, platforms at Oculus Center were relocated to underground.
On 4 February 2023, Jonathan's Resort Light Rail Terminal was completed. Route 882 platforms were relocated there. At the same time, Qingli Railways also proposed the extension of Route 882 to Heung Fan Liu Airport, such that the Tempest Light Rail system can connect to the rest of the Lilac Light Rail System.
On 4 March 2023, the extension was completed. Route 882 was officially extended to Heung Fan Liu Airport.
According to “Lilac Light Rail Reform Plan 2023”, route 882 will once again terminate at Jonathan's Resort. The connection between Heung Fan Liu Airport and Jonathan’s Resort will be replaced by the extension of route 720 and route 601.
