Route Sign
Route signs are two-block high structures that tell passengers where a train from a specified platform will go. There are four variants, but they are functionally the same. All route signs have a light level of 15.
Obtaining
Breaking
Route signs require a pickaxe to be mined, in which case it drops itself. When mined without a pickaxe, it drops nothing. It has a hardness of 2.

Usage
The route sign should be placed inside an existing station. Stations areas are defined with the railway dashboard.
Right clicking the white portion of the route sign with a brush will bring up a selection screen of existing platforms in the station. Right clicking the black portion (at the top) with a brush will toggle the arrow directions.
