The **Passenger Information Display System (PIDS)** is a block that will show the estimated time of arrival (ETA) of trains on a certain platform.

There are currently five types of passenger information display systems in the mod:

  * Type 1: Shows an animation and one train arrival.
  * Type 2: Shows the next three train arrivals.
  * Type 3: Shows the next two train arrivals, with the approaching train arrival in green.
  * Type 4: Vertical PIDS, Shows the next eight train arrivals.
  * Type 4-1: Vertical PIDS, Shows the next train arrival, and display all stops that it will stop.

===== Usage =====

The PIDS blocks automatically detects any train arrivals of nearby platforms within four blocks horizontally and at most five blocks below.

When an arrival is detected, an estimated time of arrival (ETA) will be displayed, alongside the destination and car length (Only if vehicles of different car lengths are approaching the platform)

Various elements of the PIDS can be customized within the PIDS Customization Screen, which can be accessed by right clicking with a Brush.

==== Text Content / Row Customization ====

You can configure a custom message to show in each row of the PIDS. By default, the custom messages will share the same row as the arrivals, cycling between them periodically.

If you would like to reserve the row for your custom messages, you can check the "**Hide Arrivals**" checkbox on the right, which will have the custom message always be shown on that row, and push the arrival entries down a row.

==== Arrivals/Page Offset ====

A PIDS usually have a limited number of rows (The horizontals one for example only have at-most 3 rows).

To display arrivals more than the available rows, you can change the Page Number to a higher number, effectively offsetting the displayed arrival.

==== Custom Platform Selection ====

While the PIDS automatically detects nearby platforms by default, you may also manually assign specific platforms for the PIDS to show. This is useful for situations like ETA displays on Station Concourse, or for a particular platform.

==== Dyed Text Color (MTR 4.1 beta.2+ only) ====

It is possible to use Minecraft Dye to customize the PIDS text color, just like a vanilla sign. This will consume 1 dye from your inventory.

To reset the color, simply use a Milk bucket on the PIDS to clear out the color.
